GUEST: Error always occurs at startup. No idea what it is but I do know code hinting and things like refactoring and CTRL + mouseclick don't work anymore after the update. Very frustrating. Possible cause could be this:
I doubleclicked two PHP files in the Windows Explorer in order to open these in Netbeans. Both doubleclicks triggered an individual instance of a Netbeans update proces. So I had two update processes going at once. That should be just once process. This might have created conflicts.

jchristy: Just start up netbeans with open projects causes the problem.

The net result is that intelesense no longer works.  I am not able to view method parameters or documentation. CTL(Command)-Hover or CTL(Command)-Click no longer work.

This all started immediately after upgrading to 8.0.1
