Description terje7601 2015-05-12 14:09:38 UTC
This is a very general (& thus rather vague, I admit) RFE to improve auto-completion. A simple example: when I type "throw new IAE", the chance that I want it to auto-complete to IllegalArgumentException is 99.99%, yet it's not the value that is initially selected.

To improve this behavior, one could use techniques from AI, like machine learning. Or, more simply, analyis a large body of code, which, if I'm not mistaken, is what Eclipse Recommenders does (cf. https://blogs.oracle.com/geertjan/entry/eclipse_recommenders_for_netbeans_ide ).
