Description -Silver- 2015-09-15 14:05:10 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201509150002)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_66-ea
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.66-b02

Reproducibility: Happens every time

I'm following the test case for code completion in java
and I arrived to this test:

1. In editor type
    LinkedList linkedList = new LinkedList();
2. Put cursor before 'L' in addLast
3. call code completion, by arrows select addFirst
4. confirm by CTRL-ENTER

The test case works well and has no bugs.
This feature is amazing and many times I thought that should work like this when I selected the new method with ENTER because I was unaware of the key combination CTRL+ENTER.

My RFE is about the fact that the feature is obtained only using the keyboard. Could you add the same behavior when the CTRL key is pressed and the method is selected by mouse from the code completion popup?
Furthermore the key combination CTRL-ENTER is uncomfortable why this behavior is not the default one when the method is chosen simply pressing Enter?

Thanks and best regards,

Giuseppe Tin
