If the clipboard contains a selection of text which was selected in rectangular selection mode and it is pasted, the text is not repeated if more lines are selected than the height of the clipboard text.

For example, select a block spanning two lines and copy it to the clipboard. Then select four lines (still in rectangular selection mode) and try to paste the text. The text is inserted on only the first two lines of the selection.

It would be helpful if the clipboard text was repeated until the end of the selection.
