Description Echo89 2016-01-22 13:04:14 UTC
Hi,

I've been getting this issue fairly often, once or twice a day, usually. I use Netbeans every day in work.

Sometimes, when I put the Netbeans editor window back into focus, I can select a line in the editor, but the flashing caret does not appear anywhere I click, and when I type on the keyboard, nothing happens. The only way to resolve it is to go to another file, and then go back, or switch focus to another window, and then switch back. I just Cmd+Tab twice whenever this happens.

As I say, it only happens sometimes, so it's a temperamental issue. I honestly cannot give any other information. Perhaps there is some dump I can get hold of that may aid debugging...

Can you please provide build number and JDK version?
Also capturing thread dump during blocked IDE may help.

Does it happen only in editor or in other components?

Thanks

Similar to issue 257728, only OS is different
