How to reproduce:
1) Invoke "Tools|Diff" popup menu action on two
XML files.
2) See Diff panel.
3) ERROR - If XML contain very long line, the line
is wrapped (so it will appear on more than 1 line).

This bug is there from the very beginning of the diff module. But this
bug appears only on files unknown to NetBeans.

Are xml files considered as unknown ?

It depends. When XML modules are not installed, then xml files are
unknown.

Isn't this a new projects-related issue??
I was not able to reproduce it in current dev builds. Please verify
whether it really occurs only on new projects.

Seems to be fixed in current projects builds. When I created two files
with long lines with an unknown extension, the line was not wrapped.

Yes, it works fine in projects development build #200307150000 of
NetBeans 4.0.
