Description twolf2919 2003-10-15 15:35:00 UTC
Many months ago, I observed that on Windows 2000,
after doing a "Copy", the "Paste" didn't always
become active (i.e. stayed greyed out.) My guess
was that this happened after the machine was
unattended for awhile (screensaver went on?)
Then, for awhile I didn't notice this behaviour.
But now it is annoying me again.

Similarly, if I select a method/field and
context-menu "Go To->Declaration", sometimes
nothing happens! I.e. I could be doing this
with a method in the same source file and it will
take me to the declaration. 30 minutes later, I
could be trying the same identical thing and it
would stay in the same place in the src file! The
"Declaratation" option is still active (i.e. not
greyed out) - it just doesn't do anything!

Although I don't have steps to reproduce the
problems, it happens fairly often. So if someone
wants me to get some debug output (please include
steps on how to get them), I'd be happy to.

I guess the errorneous disabling of the actions could be related to
the original windowing system and should be fixed by the current
windowing system.
Regarding "Goto Declaration" I did not observe this behavior in recent
dev builds. I'm preliminarily closing this issue but feel free to
reopen it if the issue persists.
