Description Ana.von Klopp 2004-01-30 20:53:22 UTC
In previous netbeans releases, we have changed the
default port number and admin port number in the
bundled tomcat to avoid clashes with existing
installations.

Even if the current implementation is smart about
changing those two ports if they happen to be in
use, the user will have problem if they start the
IDE before they start the preconfigured server so
it's better to choose something that is unlikely
to clash with an existing app

I assume that you mean to change the default to 8082. I can do that.
Comment 2 Ana.von Klopp 2004-02-04 00:50:00 UTC
That is the default for the internal HTTP server so I suggest using
something else. In previous releases we have used 8081, though it
might have been better to use something that's not commonly used.

Please change the admin port for the server. I think the server
default is 8015? The error message if there is a clash is cryptic (I'm
thinking of users who start their own TC installation after they have
run the IDE).

default for server port is 8084, admin 8025
