This is in regards to the Tomcat node property Enable HTTP Monitor. The following is the text in the online help for this property. Note that this property is inconsistent with port properties. You are not allowed to change port properties if the server is running, and you do not have to restart the IDE for a change to take affect. "Enable HTTP Monitor. Select this checkbox to enable the HTTP Monitor for web modules executing on the server. When enabling the monitor, you must restart the IDE in order for the change to take affect. ... When you clear the checkbox, the IDE removes the HTTP monitor's declaration from the server. However the monitor's libraries remain deployed to the server. When you disable the HTTP Monitor, you do not need to restart the IDE for the change to take affect."
You don't have to restart IDE, only restart (or stop) server.
Closing as invalid. As already noted, you don't have to restart the ide only the server. We have added a note informing that the change will take affect after server restart.
