Message in output window: ==== The BASEDIR environment variable is not defined This environment variable is needed to run this program Out of environment space ==== I am able to start and run a standalone version on tomcat 5 on the system by chaning the 'initial memory' property on the bat files.
Since Windows ME is not a supported platform for NB 3.6, this is not a showstopper.
No idea how to fix this issue. Can you advice how to set the 'initial memory'?
BTW: this is issue is described in Tomcat's Troubleshooting section, item 2 (see RUNNING.txt file of Tomcat installation).
I would say the workaround given in tomcat RUNNING.txt is sufficient. I do not plan to fix this so I am closing the issue.
