This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
I recently downloaded and installed Netbeans from the JDK + Netbeans bundle. I then used the Update Center menu item to install J2ME capabilities to the IDE. Later on I disabled the loading of the J2ME libraries using the Setup Wizard option, since I was not able to use the FileSystem Panel to create even simple classes since the Java Main Class option was not available. After disabling the J2ME components, I got back the Java Main Class option, but only after reinstalling the entire bundle(JDK and Netbeans). However, even since the reinstallation I get a message saying 'Unexpected Exception. A java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException has occurred' Then it tell me to report the issue and the IDE loads successfully. I tried a complete reinstall again after uninstalling the JDK and Netbeans and removing the directories (viz. j2sdk1.4.2_02 and Netbeans v3.6). This error still appears everytime I load the IDE and it is getting to be very annoying. Looking forward to an early response on how to set this right.

First of all try to remove netbeans userdir in Documents and Settings. It should fix the startup problem. Disabling and enabling j2me modules works fine, I can't reproduce the problem, will investigate it further.
