The error written below was thrown when I tried 
to load NetBeans 3.6.  It was not a fatal error, 
though, as the IDE appeared to load normally 
after I closed the error.  Do I have a corrupted 
installation?

There are a lot of exception from openide, core and j2ee modules.
Which one do you reported ?
