I have installed NB 4 Beta 2 on Windows XP. The installation went fine but i cant see all the project templates. Under "Standard" category, i can only see "Java Project with Existing Ant Script". "Java Application", "Java Class Library" and "Java Project with Existing Sources" are not visible. I can not see them in the Tools -> Options as well. I have tried uninstalling and installing it couple of times but no luck. With the same exe i can successfully install on Win 2K system and can see all the project templates. I could see them on a Linux machine as well. (I have multiple JDKs installed on my machine 142_03, 142_05 and 1.5RC). Please let me know the problem resolution.
Sorry, the OS is Windows XP not Windows 2000.
Interesting, reassigning for evaluation.
It seems that the j2seproject modules is not installed. Could you look at NetBeans installation folder if there is a file: ide4/modules/org-netbeans-modules-java-j2seproject.jar Thanks
It seems that the module org-netbeans-modules-java-j2seproject was not installed. Seems either a bug in the installer or system specific issue. Second is more probable. Until we don't get additional info this can not be solved.
I could see the templates when i use Update Center. I have installed all the modules that are available from Update Center. But still i can not see all the Web module templates.
Installer installs whole package. If there would be some problem during installation it would be presented in summary panel. Free disk space is checked BEFORE installation is started (before install action is performed, install action actualy copies all NB files into installation directory.) Could you try to reinstall (uninstall, eventualy clean NB install dir if you added something by Update Center and install again) if it is reproducible?
Incomplete. Closing. Please reopen if you add more info.
