I have hard time to reproduce (I still have missing something). Reporter (Peter Pis) is QE guy so I think you can trust him :-).
I've seen that. It might be caused by the fact that Edit creates CVS/Base/ folder with the copy of the edited file. Filesystems will fire events when that folder and file appears. And it's likely that the views will not check that some parent folder (CVS) should not be visible.
Just trust me :-) Follow the steps in this issue. It is easy to reproduce.
