[Build 20050222 beta]
Steps:
1) deploy web application
2) go to runtime tab
3) expand Applications - Web Applications node
4) double-click node representing your app
5) close properties panel
6) rigth-click and undeploy application
Get empty error message.

The server's domain xml gets into an inconsistent state where the deployed
module is does not have a reference listed in <application-ref>. 
In this scenario, undeployment does not work. This has been fixed in
AppServer8.1 UR1, Bug#6204799
