Description Kenneth Ganfield 2005-03-03 13:47:22 UTC
after registering the app server, when i try to
start the server using the contextual menu in the
runtime window, i get dialog box to start server.
i click start server, but progress hangs halfway
through. dialog box stays there. i then get 2
boxes that say: Application Server is not running.
Please start the server. Another start server box
appears so i now have two. progress bar on one is
complete so i close it. more server status boxes
appear, more Server not running boxes appear (5 so
far). Server still not started, even after
clearing all boxes

fresh userdir
using yesterday's build

Comment 2 Kenneth Ganfield 2005-03-03 14:22:21 UTC
the error from the logs shows a persistence manager not found which is
creating the startup error.
the log shows that it keeps trying to startup the server.
the problem is that the IDE keeps trying to start it without giving an
error message. and continues to load server progress windows and
Please start server dialog boxes until you get a time out

assigning to the correct module. I saw this too. Once I shut down the IDE and
restarted it went away.

Root cause of this behaviour is same as for Isuue 56274. Closing this as a
duplicate of it.
