Create a new EJB Module project. After doing so, the Source Packages node is expanded and the <default package> node is selected. I thought the point is to steer users to the logical Enterprise JavaBeans node and away from Source Packages for common actions. If that is the case, the fact that Source Packages is expanded seems wrong. Also, in an empty project, all that is there so far is the default package, but this is also not recommended, and this behavior calls a lot of attention to it.
This is already being worked on, see issue #54395. The planned behavior is to expand only the project node (i.e., expand only to the first level) and select it. If you have any comments, please post them to issue #54395. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 54395 ***
