Description rkbacha 2005-03-31 22:01:17 UTC
I am trying to run a project with Tomcat 5, the one that comes with the NB4.1
but a pop up window prompts me for a username and password. Refering to the
help file, I looked in the tomcat-users.xml file for the manager role's
username and password. But it doesnot work; it keeps asking for the username
and password.
Please help.

What build do you use? Did you try to reproduce this with a clean userdir?

Note that the popup dialog does not store the password for you. To set it
permanently go to properties of bundled tomcat node in Runtime tab of explorer,
under Server Registry.

I tried with a clean user dir and it is ok now.
I think that I messed up something when I changed the sever.xml file for the
form-based authentication.
Thank you very much for your help.
