Description judytang 2005-08-18 03:17:45 UTC
I am using NetBeans 4.2 (8/10) build, and Appserver 8.1 PE UR2 build 10 for testing.

I feel the new behaviour of server progress bar and stats is not so user
friendly, not so clear on the server status compare to the old way. Here
are a few my observations:

(1) The progress bar could not tell the server status like before the popup
windown can.

(2) I feel there should have a function called "status" in the server node,
when click on it, shows the server status.

(3) I feel use the visible or invisible to show "start", "stop", "restart"
status is not very userfriendly, especially when there is an error in the
code, it can cause a lot confusion. I feel we can make these field visible
all the time, and use the "status" field to check for the server status. This
is more simple and less confusion to user.

The above just my input, they may not be right :-)
