I'am using netbean 4.1 bundled with Tomcat. I've installed SUN appserver 8.1 ent edition. The applikation server is running. When i am going to add server in Netbeans The first part in the wizard recognice the server as App 8 but when I am going to server instance location (part 2 in wizzard). The buttons to proceed never get unmarked so I can continue after choosen location. These locations i've tried. /opt/sun /opt/sun/appserver /opt/sun/appserver/bin /var/opt/sun/ /var/opt/sun/appserver /var/opt/sun/appserver/domains /var/opt/sun/appserver/domains/domain1 /var/opt/sun/appserver/domains/domain1/bin message at bottoms says "provide a valide sun app server installtion location" I'm not new to bugs but to java systems.
Registration of an EE instance installed with the packages/rpms/.... is unsupported. This needs to be addressed in the server registration redesign.
Not in 4.1, but definitely fixed on nb5.0... The plugin was testing for a file (might be empty, does not matter) called "appserv_uninstall.class" at the APP server root directory. If you create such a file, you can register EE for now or use netbeans 5.0
