Creating a new window component from a template generates source files someTopComponent.xml 
and someTopComponent_1.xml (the second is the tcref file).

Admittedly this is better than ".wstcrf", but _1 is a singularly lousy way to distinguish it - docs has to 
talk about what this file is, we have to answer questions about it on mailing lists, etc.  As it is now, it 
looks like some kind of backup file or duplicate or vestigal somethingorother.

Suggest _ref or something that makes it clear it has a purpose and suggests a hint of what that purpose 
is.
