[ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_03 ] This module is required when user try to use AdvancedOption ,OptionsCategory,PanelController ... which are all required for using the modern option dialog in Application which are going to be based on Netbeans Platform. A more familiar developer can add this module from his/her IDE distro to platform but a user who is not familiar will face problem.
We do not intend to put the new Options dialog in the platform for 5.0 (possibly ever, but I don't know). If you want to use it, include it in your app from ide6.
I dont know if a netcat member or at all a community member has right to open an issue again or not. But imho it , having no good Option api included into the platform will hurt the users.just think that why you introduced a new option api and then decide on its present in platform.

I reopen the issue As i mentioned that a good option api is required for platform out of the box , not with copying some jar files and xmls from IDE subfolders or some place else into the platform directories. Another things that as i write some sample and test with platform , I can not use platform with new Option API , with all copy and past that i ahve done.
As already explained, there is no plan to put the new Options dialog in the platform for 5.0. This is as designed. Not a bug.
if it is acording to design , then it should be closed
