Description jchristi 2005-12-06 20:15:01 UTC
The dialog in the Attach Wizard's final dialog has a text area that displays
what down below... it would be very helpful if the user could also right mouse
click on a text selection and be able to select "copy" to copy the contents to
the clipboard.

Step 1. Run the Application using JDK 5.0. When starting the Application,
provide extra startup option to the java command:
-agentpath:"C:\Program
Files\netbeans-5.0beta2\profiler1\lib\deployed\jdk15\windows\profilerinterface.dll=\"C:\Program
Files\netbeans-5.0beta2\profiler1\lib\"",5140

Step 2. The JVM will start, but will not proceed with application execution
until you connect the profiler to it.

Warning: On some systems/configurations problems may occur when starting the
Profiler agent using parameters with spaces in path. To fix these problems,
please remove the quotes from agent parameters and modify these parameters to
use 8.3 (DOS) path format.

Hint: When profiling CPU, you should set a meaningful instrumentation filter
and/or profile only Part of Application to reduce profiling overhead.

Currently the user is able to get the text into clipboard using standard copy
shortcut (Ctrl+c on Windows, Ctrl+a to select the whole text). I agree that
context menu with Copy operation would make this operation better visible.

Appropriate text areas now contain context menu with Copy/Select All functions.

Fixed in trunk.
