Hello, I have recebtly installed 'NetBeans IDE 4.1' and the mobility pack add-on in order to complete University assignments. I have created a project, complete with Midlets and Canvas, and all was going well, until I clicked to 'build' my project to test it, it gave me back the following error: 'Fatal Error: Unable to locate package java.lang in classpath or bootclasspath' I have got it set up to point to the following library places: - 'jar:ibinst:///modules/ext/j2meunit-1.1.1.jar!/' and - 'file:/C:/j2sdk1.4.2_09/src.zip' If I check the error log it tells me: '<javac encoding="${javac.encoding}" bootclasspath="${platform.bootclasspath}" srcdir="${preprocessed.dir}" destdir="${build.classes.dir}" debug="${javac.debug}" optimize="${javac.optimize}" deprecation="${javac.deprecation}" target="${javac.target}" source="${javac.source}" includeantruntime="false">' I uninstalled and reinstalled 'NetBeans' and the J2SDK and the j2ME programs/libraries and I still get the errors. Any help you can give me to get NetBeans running fine and compiling would be a great help! Hope you can point me in the right direction! Thanks for your time on this, Chris Melhuish
Could you check if you have emulator SDK available under Tool | Java Platform Manager? It looks you are missing any J2ME SDK right now, while at Sun WTK 2.2 should be installed.
