Description Pavel Buzek 2006-03-10 19:25:34 UTC
I have created 2 projects (EJB and Web). I tried to create a WS "Calculator" in
EJB. I got an exception (that's a separate P1 issue), but a class was created.
Then I created a WS with the same name "Calculator" in web module (hey, no
exception!). I closed the EJB module. There was no WS node in the web module. I
close and reopen the web module -- now the WS node is there! And it shows a web
service. Except that when I double-click it it opens the class that I created in
EJB module, not the one in the web module. This seems a bit unfinished..

Websvcs in EJB and stuff related to it is not implemented/handled yet => invalid
for now - if you disagree, please reopen issue #73322 and put your comments there.
Thing with the node - can you try to update your sources to get the latest ones?
This should have been already fixed. Please reopen issue #73279 if not.
Thanks.

Yes, I had the impression that this whole area is very unfinished. But if it is
not implemented then it should not be in the build. It is very confusing for
someone not talking to the person who implements this on a daily bases. I asked
Grebac and he said: this does not work. But how should I know? It is not good to
have things that are known to throw exceptions in trunk (release55). If they are
there IMHO they should be tracked as P2s. Just my .02c.

Good point...

Anyway EE5 websvcs support in ejb were implemented today (or yesterday?) and
it's in the build. I've just tried to create websvc in ejb module and deploy and
it works. What is not working yet is Test Websvc action on websvc node in ejb
module (will file a new issue for it early)

=> marking as verified...
