Description Salil Surendran 2000-09-02 00:18:52 UTC
When I enter forte4j.sh to start forte. I get an error message :
-Xmx96m illegal argument. I know that this argument is to set the initial heap
size. So I tried giving it different values in the shell script. But it
didn't work. I then tried removing it but that gave a NullPointerException at
org.netbeans.core.Main.main. My java home points to java1.3 version and java1.3
is also included in the path environment.

Can you, please, tell us:
1. Build number or name of the product.
2. Precise, which JDK you are using (for example by using "java -version").
3. content of environment variables: "JAVA_PATH", "PATH", "CLASSPATH"
4. File forte_home/system/forte4j.log, or forte_home/system/ide.log
Comment 2 Svata Dedic 2000-09-06 13:54:59 UTC
I hate leaving bugs in WORKSFORME, but I have to since none of us can reproduce
the behaviour neither on Solaris or other Unix machines. Reopen the bug, if you
find / provide some more information for your system environment and the exact
steps to reproduce it.
