Description mfogar01 2006-06-08 17:39:49 UTC
I have just installed the netbeans 5.5 beta version. When I try to create a web
application project, I immediately get an error "A
java.lang.NullPointerException exception has occurred."

Reassigning to j2ee for evaluation.
Comment 3 Petr Jiricka 2006-06-12 12:25:58 UTC
Can you please try in the latest daily builds and see if it works there? The 5.5
beta build is now getting out of date. Thanks.

What server was the project targeted to, Tomcat, Glassfish, JBoss, etc. ?
Comment 5 mfogar01 2006-06-12 14:09:59 UTC
Hi,

The project was either targetted to Tomcat or SJAS - I don't know for certain. I
re-installed Netbeans (removed the user directory prior to doing so) and the
problem went away. I did not do this the last time I installed Netbeans so maybe
there was something in the user specific information that triggered the problem.
