Description liwang 2006-08-01 23:18:42 UTC
Reproduce steps:
1. Install 2006-08-01 Netbeans 5.5 daily build on Win XP
2. Install application server 9.0 PE UR1 promoted build 04 on the same machine
3. Deploy a web application through admin GUI. I used j2ee 1.4 sample
webapps-simple.war (attached).
4. In netbean IDE add the 9.0 server and start it
5. In runtime, open the applications-> web applications.
6. Open properties page of the web application
7. Open deploy descriptor page. The content of it is display in one long line.

This really doesn't rate being p3 IMO. If the user deployed the web app via
Netbeans, there is a fine gui editor tht they can use. If the user deploys
through the admin gui, there are ways to display the DD in the admin gui...

This is a pretty "edge" case.

I agree with Vince. There are far better ways to view the deployment
descriptors in this context, which he has already enumerated.

Downgrading to P4. Recommend defer to post 5.5.
Comment 4 Vince Kraemer 2008-10-18 00:59:12 UTC
we do not display this in the v3 plugin. we probably won't. changing the v2 plugin to address this is not a high priority.

lowering to p5.

I don't see this functionality in V2 too.
Closing as WONTFIX.
