J2EE Tutorial link in Help menu points to NB4.1 tutorial (http://www.netbeans.org/kb/41/j2ee-tut/index.html). It should point to NB5.5 tutorial (http://www.netbeans.org/kb/55/javaee-intro.html)

How about the "NetBeans Platform Tutorial" item from the Tutorials menu? Should it be removed, too?

The patch looks OK. It only missed removal of bundle entry for "platform-tutorial.url" from Bundle.properties. Also the file platform-tutorial.url should be deleted.

The mf-layer.xml in blueprints zip needs to be updated in java.net cvs and blueprints zip generated and checked into nb cvs. Current fix is not valid.
