Description Jaroslav Pospisil 2006-08-24 15:53:27 UTC
Build 200608240000

I can't start SJAS 8.2 in NB 5.5 . I can start SJAS 8.2 from command console or
by Start Default Server in Start menu(first screenshot), but when I try to start
SJAS from Netbeans,it will fail as tou can see on second screenshot. Worse is,
that after I do this,I cannot start SJAS even from outside NB anymore. It shows
always Failed to start message and I must reinstall it(screenshot 3).I tried it
many times with different JDK's (1.5.0_06,1.6.0),I tried to remove spaces from
PATH,as written in server.log (attached), I even tried to install new JDK to
location without the space in path.I've got always the same result for SJAS 8.2
or 8.1, but not for glassfish, which works just fine.I checked netstat - there's
no port conflict. All other servers were uninstalled, just for sure.I deleted even
.asadmin* folders before installation and used new installation of
netbeans,nothing helps.

jpospisil,

Have you any firewall running on your system?
If the answer is yes then could you please turn it off and try to reproduce the
issue?

Thanks,
Dmitry

I'm afraid it didn't work.I was hoping this was the cause, but even when I
disabled both firewalls, result was the same.
