Description julieg 2006-11-30 01:39:19 UTC
This bug was found in SunStudio ss-ide nightly on 32-bit RHEL4:
To reproduce on sqai31:
o
/net/yoho/export/home0/ide/mars/nightly/latest/latest-intel-Linux/sun/sunstudiomars/bin/sunstudio
--userdir /tmp/1128 --jdkhome
/net/guitest3/quantum/ifdef/jvm/intel-Linux/j2sdk1.5.0_07
o create IO sampel project
o click on Run button
o you will notice two issues:
1) both external terminal and "input(output field)" are enabled, and
both accept input and echo the output
2) in the "Ouput - IO (build, run)" window, the following messages were shown:
Failed to retrieve terminal server from activation server

(gnome-terminal:7398): Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkgc.c: line 465
(gdk_gc_get_colormap): assertion `GDK_IS_GC (gc)' failed
Comment 1 _ gordonp 2007-06-11 23:47:56 UTC
I tried both Sun Studio 12 FCS and grgich_hills (both on sqai31). I could
not duplicate either problem. I also tried my current grgich_hills build
on my own host and still could not duplicate the problem.

Please reopen if the 1st problem can be duplicated. I don't think the 2nd
problem is actually a cnd issue as its a gnome-terminal problem and we're
giving a valid gnome-terminal command line.
Comment 2 julieg 2007-06-22 02:13:12 UTC
1) is no longer reproducible in ss-ide+grgich_hills.
2) looks like a gnome issue on the test machine
