Description Alexander Kouznetsov 2007-01-17 15:05:34 UTC
Save Current View action saves a visible area of current view to file. It seems to be useful to save the whole view to file, not only the visible area.
Comment 1 Jiri Sedlacek 2007-01-17 15:18:34 UTC
Seems to be implemented from first version of Save current view feature.

Comment 3 Alexander Kouznetsov 2007-01-17 15:38:58 UTC
Well, why it is checked by default?
Comment 4 Jiri Sedlacek 2007-01-17 15:44:16 UTC
1/ Because the action is "Save *Current* View" - by default it should take a
screenshot of what you can *currently* see

2/ Because of performance reasons - typically for large unfiltered CPU or
Memory results the automatic preview in Save dialog takes a lot of CPU for more
than a second & consumes a lot of memory
Comment 5 Alexander Kouznetsov 2007-01-17 16:31:15 UTC
Verified. Probably users might look over this feature just like I did.
Comment 6 Jiri Sedlacek 2007-01-17 16:33:05 UTC
This feature will be described in Profiler documentation. Usability study will
discover if that's really a problem.
