Description suprapto45 2007-02-28 13:18:15 UTC
Hi,

Firstly please apologized if this issue has been resolved or not. This is the
first time I used this site so please bear with me. Thanks.

Few days ago, I noticed that I cannot open the file dialog box (File > Open
Project...Ctrl+Shift+O). Everything that opens file dialog box does not work. I
try to re-install my NetBeans, change my JDK to latest 1.6, it does not work.

Is this a bug?

Thanks
David

This bug is caused by a JDK bug #6210674 ("FileChooser fails to load custom
harddrive icon and gets NullPointerException", see
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6210674). The workaround is
either to stop using custom harddrive icons (I do not know whether it is
user-changeable) or to use a different look-and-feel. For details on using
different look-and-feel, see issue #61438.
