Expand Sun Java System Application Server 9 -> JBI -> Service Engines 3. See sun-iep-enine node has "red paper-clip" icon 4. Right click on the node and select "Start" See Error window Failed execution of startComponent: sun-iep-engine JBIFW1149: Engine sun-iep-engine cannot be started. The LifeCycle start() method threw a javax.jbi.JBIException exception. The exception message is: IEP service engine start failed javax.jbi.JBIException: IEP service engine start failed
