1. Start the appserver 
2. Right click on "Binding Components" node and click on "Install New Binding
Component"
3. Select a file, say an empty jar file called dummy.jar and click on "Install"
4. No error message is thrown

The above could be observed with SE and shared library installation as well

The validation code was added around 3/8 in NB 6.0. Please try the latest build.
