install beta2 build b41 with netbeans 5.5.1 latest build NetBeans IDE 5.5.1
daily build 200703210600 

Launch netbeans binary, there's no output console upon fresh instalation ( this
is available on solaris, liux)

I think this is Netbeans default behavior when you install a stable build. Not
sure about difference in behavior w.r.t to Linux / Solaris
Either way not a plugin issue.
