Description troodon 2009-08-14 19:59:19 UTC
The upper part of the box bracket glyphs [ ] from OpenSymbol v 1.21 is missing
at small zoom levels, no matter if subpixel rendering is on or off. See the
attached testcase and screenshot.

This happens in all OOo applications and also with older versions of the font
(at least in 1.10 and 1.11).

This is a follow-up of issue 99047 (where you can get OpenSymbol v 1.21) and
could be related to issue 104239.

I do not reproduce the problem with OOo 3.1.1 RC1 (FR) under Ubuntu 8.04.

I was able to reproduce the issue in Word 2000 and WordPefect 12, so this seems
to be a font issue. Also, in WordPefect 12, at a very high zoom (400%),
disappeared bottom part of the brackets :-).

@all: please test the new version of the font

-> ih

Seems to be a bit better than before, but I still see the bad rendering in the
testcase at the following zoom levels (Windows Vista, 1280x800, subpixel
rendering on):

Also, the upper part of the integral symbol isn't rendered at some small zoom
levels. I'll fill another issue for that :-)
