It's user choice in which order he selects. And in this order it will be printed. Maybe bug but maybe feature.

> in this order it will be printed

Not exactly. I did some more tests and it seems that indeed main influence for order in printout is order of selection (what indeed seems a feature), but paragraph selected as the last one will be the first one to be printed, for this effect I can't find a good reason.

And some more research will be required.

I tried to replicate the bug as the author stated.
And according to the author, I can perfectly replicate the bug.
I could replicate this bug on windows 7 and OpenOffice 4.2.0
Steps:
1. Try to select unattached paragraphs by Control+Click in empty line before of first paragraph, then Shift+Click into empty line after paragraph. Keep doing this for all the paragraphs you want to select. Or in the attachment above, select the paragraphs with numbers leaving behind the other paragraphs those which doesn't contain numbers.
2. Select Print.
3. In the print preview, you can see that the order of paragraphs is not correct.

I selected in an order of 1-2-3, but instead it is now 3-1-2

Other details>>
1. Also I tried to do the same steps but instead of selecting the paragraphs by Control+click in line above and below the paragraph to be selected, I just used the cursor to select the paragraph.
2. Select Print
3. Now this time the print preview showed the right order of the paragraphs.
4. Again repeating the same steps, but this time I selected in different order of paragraphs.(by Control+Click in empty line before of first paragraph, then Shift+Click into empty line after paragraph)
5. i.e. First I selected paragraph with 3s
6. then I selected paragraph with 1s
7. and then I selected paragraph with 2s
8. Select Print
9. And in print preview, again the paragraph's order changed.(It is 2-3-1)
10. When I selected sequence of selecting paragraphs in 2-1-3, then I got order 1-2-3 in print preview.
11. Also, I tried to replicate the bug in Microsoft Office Word, but selection of paragraphs using Control+Click in empty line before of first paragraph, then Shift+Click into empty line after paragraph is not happening.

Using the sample attached document produced by Rainer, the bug was replicated on 4.2.0 on Windows 7.

1. Control+click in the line before the first paragraph.
2. Shift+click in the space after the last character in paragraph.
3. Repeat for the remaining two paragraphs.
4. File -> Print
5. Beneath the 'Pages' check box, there is a check box for 'Selection'. Check that box.
6. Look on the left at the Print Preview (the print displayed) and look very closely that the numbers in each of the paragraphs are not in the intended order. (Probably will required a screen capture and a zoom to clearly see, but you can make out that the last paragraph displays a 1 instead of a 3.)

Note: This was also tested on Windows 10 and the same effect occurred.

Additional details:
In the sample document Rainer provided, I also tested selecting the paragraphs as usual, but also selecting the first of the 'Do Not Select!' paragraphs, doing so in chronological order of course. I found that the same mismatched order occurred, but the 'Do Not Select'(in red text color) paragraph came second to last in the scheme of paragraphs, and also produced another bug which makes the paragraph preceding it also turn to a red text color.

Selecting the paragraphs in alternative orders can produce the correct chronological sequence of paragraphs, but I do not see the correlation between the input of paragraphs selected and the output of order the paragraphs are displayed.

** In addition to Comment 4 **

I did not feel the need to attempt the bug multiple times in Microsoft word more than once because another person above posted his testing in Microsoft word and found nothing similar.

This bug could be very detrimental to both the person using OO to print a selection, and also OO itself because if a person is not able to get correct functionality out of a piece of software, then they will become frustrated and stop using it. Therefore this is not the most critical bug, but it should definitely be looked in to.

Is this related to 82420?

In addition, 58683 and 106163 point to errors in sorting lists (one-line paragraphs).
