I have notes in the file that should make it clear, what is going on.
*** Issue 1340 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Highligting of names is not yet implemented, but should work in future. Therefor I change the issuetype from defect to enhancement RFE accepted changing QA contact from bugs@ to issues@ Support highligting of names. When you double click on a cell with a formula using referenced variables it should highlight the right cells. (see also attached document) OpenOffice.org Issue Tracker - Feedback Request. The Issue you raised has the status 'New' pending further action, but has not been updated within the last 4 years. Please consider re-testing with one of the latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed. (July 2017) This bug was logged SIXTEEN YEARS AGO. This is highly desirable functionality and the lack of named cell highlighting feels like a glaring omission especially given that it works for unnamed cells.
