Spec will follow *** Issue 5519 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** added keyword Q-PCD Specification can be found here http://specs.openoffice.org/g11n/ordinal_numbers/ordinal_numbers.sxw Because of a shortage of resources. New Target "OOo Later". *** Issue 29546 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** A very anoying problem that has been around far too long. More meaningful summary so that we have a little chance that someone might find DUPlicates. It seems that Dutch language requirements are missing in the specification. *** Issue 74874 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** For information: there is now an UNO API (draft, no published flag) service com.sun.star.i18n.OrdinalSuffix that maybe could be enhanced to be used with this feature, also to provide means for additional languages by using the ICU internally. See reference in offapi/com/sun/star/i18n/XOrdinalSuffix.idl see http://cedric.bosdonnat.free.fr/wordpress/?p=443. Properly #ifdef'ed and/or we switch to ICU 4.2... I wouldn't mind switching to ICU 4.2 if someone just did the work ;-) hint hint hint ... see also http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/ICU > I wouldn't mind switching to ICU 4.2 if someone just did the work ;-) hint hint

At least it _builds_ fine with 4.2, If there is functionality problems to be
expected, please tellme so I can stop Debian switching to 4.2 now ;-)
Anyway, assuming it will work with ICU 4.2 in general, this patch (or an
improved one) can be integrated #ifdef'ed until Sun switches to get
--with-system-icu builders the fix, no? ;)
An upgrade from ICU 4.0 to 4.2 hopefully wouldn't yield problems as earlier upgrades to new major versions did.. I created issue 104310 for the ICU upgrade and added a dependency. Need to add to the spec: - Dutch (detailed sent by Cor Nouws) - Portuguese (expecting feedback from gbpacheco based on issue 104310) @MBA: We are working with Cédric on this issue (expected 3.3?). Would you mind to "host" it in your intray until we know when it will be implemented? Thanx! Added the spec as Wiki page: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Localized_AutoCorrection_of_Ordinal_Numbers_(1st_2nd) @es: Looking at http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=74874#desc9 and my advice for this issue (see desc16), I've looked up the officual rules for ordinal numbers in Dutch. See http://www.onzetaal.nl/advies/1e.php Summary in English: both are OK, no preference, as long as you use one style in one text ( :-p ) (Sidenote: it's also not mandatory to write the ordinal numbers in superscript.) @Cor: dank je! :) I added this to the spec: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Localized_AutoCorrection_of_Ordinal_Numbers_(1st_2nd)#Dutch Hello, this issue seems to me important because daily used. Thanks Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
