reassigned to bh This would be very nice indeed. Preferably, one should be able to select a colour in any of these ways: * A GUI color selector * RGB values * HSV values * HTML values * Colour picker (click a pixel on screen). The Linux program kcolorchooser is a good example of what I mean. Please look at issues 11098,27722,33392 which are closely related, perhaps identical. Please have also a look at my howto: http://fr.openoffice.org/Documentation/How-to/General/07palettefr.pdf http://fr.openoffice.org/Documentation/How-to/General/07palettefr.sxw You can edit the standard palette, but only in Draw. There you can change the standard.soc file to your needs. Robert *** Issue 31598 has been confirmed by votes. *** HTML values ARE RGB values. But anyway, yes we NEED CUSTOM COLORS, I want a slightly less blaring soft green than Green 6. Editing the standard pallet is braaaaaaaaaain damage! How many odd steps do I need to go through to make a simple color change? Bah. This is the MAIN reason I have not switched to OpenOffice away from Microsoft. I know it sounds silly, but it is a REAL PAIN to have to create each new color for use. Why can't users just see a box which lets them select from any color in the spectrum? Then, the last few colors they have selected are displayed as "favorites". See Microsoft's color picker. *** Issue 51709 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** This issue seems to be dup of http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi? id=7373. Resolving as such. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 7373 *** and closing. Please transfer your votes to 7373. |
