Impress document with ghost formula
Reproducible. Somehow curious behaviour: the left small formula cannot be made larger until the "protect size" in the position and size dialog is uncheck. Rigth after resizing it the setting is back to checked by itself. And, yes, doing chnages to the left formula afftects the right one, too. *** Issue 64434 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** See issue 64434 for another document with that error. I am using Writer 2.1 and experienced a similar problem. It seems to be related to this issue. Therefore I am adding here some information what I found out. (Mathias Bauer and Karl-Heinz Bellgardt told me to do so.) I used an old .odt file, opened a .doc file in word in another window and copied text and pictures into the .odt file by using cut&paste. I adjusted "Umlauf" to "Vor" or "Hinter" with the pictures. I clicked on the pdf button to produce a pdf file. I closed and opened again several times on this day. I experienced problems with the pictures: A picture once vanished, but the frame of it stayed and one of the other pictures of the document was shown instead. Because of differences in ratio the "new" picture shown in the old frame was shown somehow distorted. This behaviour happened more than once. Each time it could be solved by just copying the original picture onto the distorted false one once more from the original .doc file. It seems to be that Writer mixes up the picture information. This is a problem of Writer 2.1 with Win2k ! I hope this will be confirmed and solved in 2.x. Unfortunately I do not know at the moment how to reproduce this error. Therefore it is not easy to add a file to show. Created attachment 46506 [details]
Impress document with Calc drawing replaced by math formula
No I have met the case where a Calc drawing object was mixed up with a math
formula. This can be found in the slide in attachment #46506 [details]. Originally, in the
object group with blue background in the right lower corner there were a math
formula and a calc diagram. You can still see the preview graphics of the calc
diagram (the bigger graphics). The preview graphics of the formula was replaced
by a smaller version of the preview graphics of the Calc diagram. But now behind
both objects the same Math object is hidden. This can be seen if you
double-click on either of the graphics by which the Calc formula reappears. The
diagram object seems to be lost.
Before, I had got the impression that the strange mixing of formulas takes place
when creating new formulas by copying an existing one instead of creating from
scratch. But this cannot have happened here. I also didn't copy the entire slide.
This bug is very annoying. I often work with Impress documents containing about
20 to 40 slides and a lot of Math and other object. The mixing of objects
(mostly affecting Math) takes place in about 20-30% of the cases then the
document was edited, then saved an reopened.
