Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 101681
The menubar doesn't integrate with the choosen theme in Gnome
Last modified: 2013-07-30 02:14:06 UTC
In OpenOffice.org version 3.1, running under Ubuntu Linux 9.04 (Jaunty), the menubar items, when highlited by the mouse, doesn't integrate with the choosen GTK widget theme; it behaves as a selected text - for example, if the theme specifies that the menu items has a border or fading (e. g., Clearlooks and Murrine), this has no effect in OOo 3.1. This bug affects only the menubar itself; the itens in the pop-up box of each menu are ok. It was found also only in this last version (May 7, 2009); OOo 3.0.1 is ok. I didn't tested the release candidates.
Please add screenshots illustrating the normal behavior of the theme and the missing OOo behavior.

The themes of the example are Crystal Fusion (based on Murrine and Clearlooks) and New Wave, included in the last Ubuntu release. Note that the bug doesn't affect the options in the popup menu, only the menubar itself.
Please don't set targets by yourself. By the way, 3.1 is already online and this not a showstopper. I'll confirm this next week when I'll have access to Gnome.
MRU->PL: I checked it under ubuntu 9.04 (with Theme "Clearlooks" or "Dark room"). The items of the main menu bar are not bordered when selected. Other applications like Nautilus do this correctly.
