In CharsMxd.odt, the quotes are CourierNew, the text is TimesNewRoman. Highlight
the string: Formatting toolbar says the font is TimesNewRoman. Should it not be
blank instead, since there is mixture of fonts?

I don't know if we already have a duplicate for this and if it is eveb a bug...

The font list box shows a "blank state" when the text is hard formatted.

It shows the font at cursor position when the text is formatted over character
styles.
