Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 10312
"text body indent" paragprah style incorrectly works visually, not logicaly
Last modified: 2003-05-20 16:36:12 UTC
"text body indent" paragprah style incorrectly works visually, not logicaly- thus, adding and indent "before text" always adds it to the left of the text, regadless of paragraph directionality. To repro: 1) create new OOwrite document- make sure that your OO settings have complex text layout enabled, and that your locale for comnplex text is Hebrew 2) Set the document direction as "right to left" 3) Enter a paragraph or so of rtl Hebrew text. I had my style as "justified", but it shouldn't matter 4) in the Paragraph style pallete, right click "text body indent" and choose "modify" 5) set the indent before the text as 2cm. Save changes 6) apply the style to the paragraph Actaul result: a 2cm indent was added to the LEFT of the paragraph Expected: Since this is a RTL paragraph, "before text" should follow the directionality of the paragraph, and therefore add the indent to the RIGHT of the paragraph.
