System keyboard shortcut to control directionality fails in oo
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:02:26 UTC
In windows system CTRL+right shift sets the direction as RTL, and CTRL+left shift sets the direction as LTR. Those keyboard shortcuts fail in OO
DL->FT: Would you please takeover?
Hi Frank, does this keyboard shortcut interfere with any of your accessiblity issues? If not please have this implemented. Thx a lot.
Currently SFX does not support this feature (according to CD). Today we have have configured the following shortcuts: CTRL+Shift+A und CTRL+Shift+D, but we need to support the following ones, too: leftShift + leftCtrl activates left to right writing mode rightShift + rightCtrl activates right to left writing mode If another key was already pressed and was released until shift and ctrl key was pressed, nothing will happen if shift + ctrl .
Please see comments above
The functionality is alreay available for a while. However, you have to activate it by opening Tools->Options->LanguageSettings->Languages. On this tab page you must check 'Complex Text Layout (CTL) support'. Now you get additional buttons in the toolbar and Left-Ctrl-Shift and Right-Ctrl-Shift will be activated.
Please see comments above.
Well, I do have those settings enabled, and teh keyboard shortcuts still fail- only the menu works
FL->SBA: Please try to reproduce the behavior as deescribed by Shoshannah Forbes. Feature works on my system (s2 SO build) as expected.
Checked now with a newier build (cvs build 20030223) and it is fixed.
Verified in OOo 1.1 Beta2.
