Saving As rtf yields a file that, when opened, has no text in it whatsoever.  
Looking around on the web, it appears that this is a well known problem, but 
there's never been an issue report filed on it.  Now there has.

Not reproducible.

Not fully true, there has already been reported issue 32690.
