Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 105067
[CWS printerpullpages] For small pages OOo does not recalculate layout when paper orientation is set to landscape
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:47:35 UTC
Make a Draw document with small page size, for example width 4.10cm and hight 6.50cm. Set paper orientation to landscape in printer settings. Print with any of the settings in category Draw > Size. You get a landscape printed paper sheet. (That is an improvement in comparison to the way OOo3.1.1 prints.) But the layout of the pages is so, as if it is a portrait paper sheet. The preview already shows the wrong layout.

This however does not come completely unexpected; changing the paper size / orientation is an override for the user; it does not necessarily change layout; that depends on the specific application. pl->cl: please decide whether to handle this as an enhancement or bug.
There is the similar problem, if you print a selected drawing object. If the drawing document is set to landscape, it is impossible to print the selection to a sheet of paper in portrait. The drawing is not positioned relative to the sheet of paper, but is printed as if the whole page is printed.
