Description eranb66 2009-10-02 05:57:40 UTC
Every time I try to open a certain ODS file, I get the message:

Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 2,2098775
(row,col).

When I click OK, Calc closes down. So my file is no longer usable. :-(
I originally created this file on Excel. I recently moved to OO 3.1.1 and
edited this file on Calc. Last change I did was open the file in Calc to update
the links to another spreadsheet, then saved the file and exit. After that I
can no longer open the file.

content.xml has a single-character error (tabne:table-cell instead of
table:table-cell). I don't know what circumstances could have lead to that.

I have the exact same error with a large spreadsheet.

However some differences: the file was created with OpenOffice.org years ago and
continued till today.
When I extract content.xml and grep for the error shown in the previous comment,
I do not see this error.
Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to add the file here.

I'm going to close this issue, as it is unlikely that a problem in OOo itself
caused this problem. Maybe it was hand edited/modified with an external
processor that introduced that typo. If it was a generic problem with OOo, then
surely there would be tons of reports regarding this problem.
And as the casue is unknown, nothing can be done to solve it, thus the issue
would just age without any progress, so it can be closed as well with the same
net-result.

As for dvgevers' problem: Please file a seperate issue if it is not the same
problem as this, and more importantly: Provide the sample file.

"Worksforme" in lack of a better choice.
