Description Loria 2009-10-14 22:43:12 UTC
Since I could'nt save to the original file, I tried to copy the full set of text
into a new document:
After I pasted, most of the text was copied; one Line was copied incomplete; at
least on the first view it seemed as it has not been copied, since it was not
shown. Reproducing proved successful. then I tried to copy the piece of text,
which was not shown... after pasting into the new document the missing part
appeared ... (since I tool that part of the line, it now was shown double...
(I think it has been copied correctly ... just the display was bad.)
The part of the line, which was missing included german special chars ... which
itself where copied, but not the line infront of them...

<-------------------- original:
text text text text ÖÄÜäö
<-------------------- display
                    ÖÄÜäö
<--------------------

Comment 4 Loria 2009-10-16 16:59:40 UTC
I added the Document, which reprucable has trouble pasting.
1) open the document
2) open a new document same type
3) change back to the 1. Document; select all (COMMAND A); COMMAND C to copy
4) change to the new document; paste wit h COMMAND V
5) you should notice to the left of the topmost box the leftmost part of the
line with the german chars is missing. you should read:
"Aber jetzt auch mit ÖÄÜßô"
but it shows:
"ÖÄÜßô" at the correct position.
6) click into the white space and enter some char ... even mor strange thins happen.

Comment 5 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-10-16 17:54:55 UTC
It seems to be not reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English
UI WIN XP: [OOO320m1 (Build 9428)]", but may be I understand something wrong!
Pls. attach a screenshot comparing view in both documents and showing the
problem so!
Comment 6 eric.savary 2009-10-16 20:01:00 UTC
It might be a repaint problem only reproducible on MAC...
@Loria: what happens if you press cmd+shift+R?

entering a "x" in the left window
Comment 9 Loria 2009-10-16 22:20:17 UTC
CMD SHFT R
will result after about 1 1/2 second in an correct display ... also the second
effect (shown in screenshot2) is not happening.
Comment 10 Rainer Bielefeld 2009-10-17 08:35:51 UTC
Seems to be MAC specific, definitively not reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP
DE-multilingual version German UI activated [OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!
Comment 11 Loria 2009-10-21 18:44:55 UTC
Maybe it is Tiger related ... Since I will upgrade to Leo (not Snow Leo), I will
then check this again.
Comment 12 michael.ruess 2009-10-29 16:58:50 UTC
finally I am able to reproduce the problem. It is Mac specific and the target
document window should be maximized, otherwise the mentioned text part will be
scrolled out.
open the attached document, select whole text and copy to clipboard, open new
text document and paste it via Cmd-V.
Surprisingly, that when using the Paste button from toolbar, the paint error
does not occur.
